MBB Line of Services
Hi all,
Just wanted to get some insight about the line of services in MBB. Do Associates have concentration in one line of services or experience projects related to cross line of services?
I mean if I were in PE line of business, do I have chance to participate in pure Corporate Strategy projects?

Depends on the firm. Bain and BCG hire associates as generalists, whereas McKinsey pushes their BAs to specialize early. McKinsey hires some analysts directly into their PE group. Most Bain offices offer an optional ~6 month rotation in the private equity group, but it is still a generalist model. BCG doesn't do much PE.
