MBB offer with 3.0/4 GPA possible? (health setbacks in college)

So I'm not lazy or unintellectual, I just struggle with self-diagnosed ADHD and clinically-diagnosed Anxiety/OCD (being treated). I am a junior but I plan to graduate after taking an additional Fall semester in 2022. I go to a target Ivy and am majoring in a traditional STEM field (think math or physics). This semester I finally realized that I didn't have the patience to engage in long-term research not to mention my grad school bound classmates are all wayyy more consistent students than me. Essentially, I have realized that I don't have the right stuff for scientific research though I have the curiosity. However, I have made a lot of great strides and I am quite interested in evolving into a generalist. By virtue of being at a good school, I do know what I have to do to prepare myself for MBB type roles... my only question is will I ever stand a chance with a 3.0-3.2 GPA? I am willing to work hard to prove myself, incredibly hard, if given the chance.

To be completely honest, it's going to be extremely difficult. Most MBB offices have a strict 3.50 - 3.60 cutoff. You might have a chance to land an interview if you have very close connections with partners, but even then I feel like this is unheard of. If you think MC is the industry for you, it doesn't hurt to try and recruit at T2 or T3 firms and try to break into MBB later in your career (i.e. post MBA or as an experienced hire).

Thanks for the response! I only have three or four connections of older classmates at McK and Bain, two of them are really close friends/connections but I doubt it will be enough... the MBA route is what I've heard too.

You go to an Ivy and are studying a STEM field. Go for it. Know plenty of ppl that have received MBB offers with pretty low GPAs.

From my Ivy target, you needed a 3.8-3.9 to get interviews for MBB this past summer. That said, I networked my way to an interview with one MBB with a 3.7.
