MBB Recruiting at UChicago - Worse than Peers?

Lads, curious if you know anything about MBB recruiting at UChicago.

Its low volume of placement (compared to similarly selective places) was a little concerning, but perhaps that's just because of lack of student interest? But would that mean that it then becomes less of a "core" or "target" school for MBB?

I also heard that MBB is somewhat more selective / picky compared to BB IB, and so they might prioritize the uber-prestige undergrads like Harvard or Wharton.

What do you think?

Chicago is strong. You won't have an issue going there and getting into MBB if you are prepared well enough. Do networking with people already in consulting to get referrals or inside scoop and it'll help you beyond the campus recruiting.

You might be a tenth of a tier below HSW/ HYP, but UChicago is a top target in the midwest and opens all doors nationally.

Dozens of people go from UChicago to MBB every year. That said, my experience was that UChicago had slightly better placement for IB while Northwestern had slightly better placement for MBB.
