Meeting a consulting from a target firm

Hey guys,

I've gotten the opportunity to meet a consultant from a top choice firm. He's a consultant as well as campus rep for one of the Big4 consulting sections.

Any tips on how i can make most out of this visit?

Thanks,

Ask how to do well in interviews. Ask questions, rather than sell yourself...unless he asks you about yourself, in which case have a quick 1-2 min pitch of yourself and your achievements ready. And it shouldn't sound like a pitch.

Then humbly ask if he can help you get an interview. You've already asked how to destroy the interview, so you should be all set.

A lot of this though depends on the flow of the conversation. Just go in with the attitude that you have to listen 80% and speak 20%, and you should be good.

Thanks for the advice. I'm hoping to meet a trader soon and I'm sure this is equally applicable.
