Minimum GPA for ACN/Big 4/FTI .. basically anything thats not MBB
Anyone know the minimum GPA requirements for basically any firm thats not MBB? I was wondering because before I invest all my free time networking for consulting, is it even possible for me to get a FT/internship offer with a below average GPA.
Some firms have 3.0 and others 3.2 as a hard cutoff for OCR. I had a 3.2 when I got a big 4 consulting internship. However, you want a 3.5+ if you want to get looks from most of them.
This is for non-MBB, of course.
Can you tell me your process on how you went about getting the internship because I have a 3.3, so any tips will be beneficial
I literally just applied through OCR
really? no crazy connections or networking? Do you go to Harvard? lol
Yes, really. I had some relevant internships and decent extracurricular involvement (leadership positions) and would say those were my differentiators.
I went to a mid-tier state school. If I had some additional reason I would have told you. No connections, no referrals, no networking.
And if I went to Harvard but ended up at a Big 4 then something went wrong along the way tbh.
Similar experience to Grayhairs for Big 4. 3.5+ GPA, applied OCR without networking beforehand or anything. Got the internship.
@levered beta Boy" Grayhairs how did you guys prep for case interviews?
Breaking into consulting at Accenture/Deloitte/lower tier firms with a 2.5 GPA (Originally Posted: 02/10/2018)
Hello,
I'm a junior at a top 10 engineering school with a 2.5 GPA. Do I stand any chance of getting an internship or possibly a fully time job at Accenture, Deloitte, or other consulting firms? If I can't get a job right after graduation, what are my best options to break into consulting later on? I'd prefer to break in sooner rather than later.
