Moving from IB to Consulting

Hi all. Currently interning at bulge bracket in IB but applied for MBB. Unfortunately, didn't get offers from any. I did only start prepping a few days before as I didn't even expect myself to get any interviews (my fault completely) which made me totally mess up. Either way, hoping to re-recruit to MBB in a year.
My question is- should I 1. Stay in IB then re-recruit MBB or 2. Recruit for Tier 2 consulting firms then re-recruit MBB
I hope to end up at an MBB (I know it's extremely difficult, but emphasis on hope).
I also know thinking about doing a year of banking makes me dread it so much. But I know the name brand and opportunities in BB IB is very helpful career-wise. Not sure if staying in banking will help my attractiveness as an applicant when I apply again or if going to a tier 2 firm then trying to re-recruit would hurt me/make me less attractive.
I know it's a first world problem and dilemma and I am very grateful for the opp to have a job in IB. But just wanted people's opinions. Thanks all.
