MPA good for consulting?

So lets say you are not in a target or for whatever reason you didn't get any consulting MBB offers when you graduated you have the financial ability to pursue another degree but you don't want to pursue an MBA yet since you want to get into a reputable program later on if you decided you are going for an MBA would a masters in public administration help you get a consulting job if you applied to a firm, and i think it teaches you about management, analysis and managing resources and strategy etc, would this help at all?
or there are better choices? or what do you think about this

I don't even know what you said because all I could think about is how long that sentence is.

When a plumber from Hoboken tells you he has a good feeling about a reverse iron condor spread on the Japanese Yen, you really have no choice. If you don’t do it to him, somebody else surely will. -Eddie B.

No, it's not grammar nazism. You sound like a retard who can't write in coherent english.

To answer your question, going to a public policy program with hopes of getting into MBB consulting (or strategy consulting in general) is a very bad idea. Those firms recruit MBAs and also Phd's, and it will be tough to even get interviews coming out of policy programs. For government or nonprofit consulting, however, you could probably make it work.

It's far more than that, guy.

I think you have a shot but you'll have to ace the consulting interviews and have a good answer to the question I posed. McCombs does an excellent job of prepping candidates for consulting interviews if you're willing to put in the work. You should have a backup plan though in case MBB doesn't work out; for example, you might consider going to work for Deloitte or E&Y consulting.
