nearly 2 weeks since interview: Is this a no?

I interviewed at Capgemini for a business analyst position and it's been about 2 weeks since my initial phone screen. I tried following up with an email this previous week but got a automated email message from the HR girl that she was out of the office until this coming week. What do you make of this? I need to know ASAP because I'm planning on taking a grad school offer if this job doesn't pan out for me.

I also had my initial call during the first possible day I could have been scheduled.

To be honest with you, it doesn't look good. That said, email her back (or someone else) and let them know you are still interested but did not get any feedback from your phone screen.

I would consider emailing her back and being very transparent that you have to accept graduate school soon and that this job is your top choice and that you need input. Be kind, and respectful of their timeline and business objectives too. Good luck and congratz on grad school!

this. also, given your circumstance (early interview + hr out of office), it is possible that you may still be in the game.

that said, I would personally think again about joining this grad school that comes in second after this job offer.
