Need advice: leave Accenture MC for Monitor Deloitte?

Hi all,

I'm currently a management consultant at Accenture in western Europe. I've been working at Accenture for a bit more than 3 years. I'm enjoying my time here, I'm staffed on general management and sometimes strategy type of engagements. I also have a good network within the firm, and my bosses know I'm doing good work.
Lately, I received an offer from Deloitte for their strategy arm (Monitor Deloitte). The offer is composed of a salary package almost identical to what I have now (will thus definitely not be a decisive point), and is for a Consultant position (highest rank for this position, meaning right below senior consultant).

In the long run, I'm interested in strategy type of work (either in consulting or in industry).
I would need some help assessing which opportunity to grab: stay at Accenture (I'm in my comfort zone), or move on to Monitor Deloitte (closer to strategy type of work)?
The key criteria for me are:
1) type of engagements: is Monitor Deloitte really involved on pure strategy projects? How does it compare to Accenture Management Consulting/Strategy?
2) salary package: which company would offer the best salary in the medium term? I looked it up on glassdoor and it looks like Accenture is paying more.
3) career progression: at which firm are the employees most likely to progress fast in their career? Accenture has seen some backlog lately, and Deloitte just merged its north western europe entities to strengthen its position.
4) exit opportunities: which company has the best reputation in western Europe and would more likely lead to better strategy exit opportunities in the industry?

I'd be really glab if you could let me know your thoughts? Any help or advise in the decision-making process would be helpful!

Many thanks :)

I can answer some of your questions regarding Monitor Deloitte 1) Yes, Monitor Deloitte really have strategy projects. I would ask which partners would you be working for. Legacy Deloitte, or Legacy Monitor? Monitor Deloitte, and the legacy Deloitte Strategy arm have merged, but the teams are still different and the approach is different, with the Monitor Deloitte group having a higher caliber.

The folks I worked with in Monitor are not like legacy Deloitte - they have higher standards, better grooming, and more interesting projects. You work on problems in which there is no "standard procedure"...your hypothesis is revised as data comes in.

2) Can't speak to differences in salary. Deloitte does tend to underpay in the long-run when compared to MBB. Not sure how it compares to Accenture

3) Monitor Deloitte folks are promoted usually 2 years if you're top 35%. Otherwise, 3 years. 1 year promotions are so rare, that not even top 10% usually get promoted after 1 year unless they have build a coalition of support of partners from the get go. Not sure about Accenture. Legacy Monitor was different, so the strategy practice may have slightly different practice than the general management, which is what i'm a part of.

4) No idea on Western Europe front. In the US, Deloitte is really capturing the strategy market after MBB, and would have higher opps than Accenture in the strategy practice at least. Not sure how Deloitte compares to Oliver Wyman or other elite boutique in strategy in terms of exit opps (Deloitte is likely worse), but still slightly better than Accenture.
