Give it a week or so.
I believe you only get a notice if you fail the background check. During my SA, they were still conducting my background check during my 2nd week.
I am speaking from a different industry but for us we notified folks who failed security clearance with a letter fairly quickly. Those who were cleared were notified within 7-10 days.
Usually takes 1-2weeks for them to notify you.
But if something bad comes up, they'll tell you right away right? 1-2 weeks is if everything is fine?
Yea, it's probably better that you haven't heard from them. No news is generally good news when it comes to background checks, but i feel you, the anxiety of knowing you have an offer contingent upon something trivial [albeit necessary] like that is rough.
do you have an offer letter? if so, take it to the bank. unless something naughty pops up they letter is a contract so nothing to worry. if you didn't negotiate that the offer letter comes first but make it contingent on passing the check (if you didn't - why the fuck not?), then you might have been shafted if they found someone they liked more. good luck.
