Nursing -> MBB
How probable is it to see this kind of career trajectory? UPenn nursing has whole degree programs with Wharton that seem to lend itself to this kind of career path. I was just wondering how feasible and realistic it is for nursing students at schools like UPenn, UVA, and UT Austin to compete with business majors and land MBB consulting jobs. For example, there's a lady that joined Bain in the DC office as an undergrad nursing major from UVA.
I met an Engagement Manager at this year's McKinsey Insight Healthcare program. She worked as an RN before getting a Master's degree (MPH) in John Hopkins and joining McKinsey. So it's definitely possible.
I also know an RN at McKinsey
