Pivoting from IB to Consulting

Hi all,

As we’re getting closer to the end of the internship season I’m starting to realize that IB’s probably not for me, and that from a style/nature of work POV, consulting might be a better fit. I’m gonna be graduating May 2027, so just wanted to see if anyone had color on the recruiting timelines at MBB. Would I need to be shooting cold emails to alums at these places? Any and all advice would be appreciated.

Background: Target school, interning at an EB.
