Quick compensation Q at top consulting firms

Hey guys,

I know that this has been discussed in depth on this subforum, but as someone working in investment banking who's being asked about consulting compensation from a friend, I'm not really sure what to tell them.

Can anyone tell me really quickly how much a business analyst at a MBB/Deloitte/Booz firm can expect to make in NYC? Is the pay standardized across entering junior consultants like it is in banking (where analysts across the street more or less make the same base pay)? I took a look at the WSO Compensation Database, and it looks like the pay is pretty variable.

Thanks for any help!
