Recruiting Strategy from a Target-Level Non-Target School
I'm currently a rising senior at a school that is a target for all three MBBs (Ivy) but happens not to be for one of the T2s I'm also interested in applying to. There are, however, some alumni from my school who work at the T2. My current plan is to reach out to them about their recruiting process to see how they navigated it without on campus recruiting, but I wanted to reach out here to see if there was any insight. Should I essentially be treating this like all non-target recruiting. Thanks!
do you not want to go MBB?
That's the goal, but I'm not only applying to MBB.
If there's 1-2 from your school, yes treat this like complete non-target recruiting. If there are 15, you're not in as bad of shape.
I'd try to secure a referral from somebody with a decent amount of seniority. Don't restrict yourself to alumni.
