REPE to Consulting?

Hey everyone! I wanted to gauge how feasible a lateral move from REPE (real estate private equity) to Consulting (MBB/T2) would be for a first year analyst. If any of you have a similar background, or know anyone who has made a jump like this before, please do share any insights. There's surprisingly very little content online on this.

Some background:

- 1st year analyst (3 months in out of UG) at a REPE firm. I sit on the Acquisitions team, where most of my responsibilities involve modeling potential investments in Excel and executing due diligence

-  For the most part non-target, but we have some students (~3-5) that break-in to local MBB offices every year

Any idea whether the experience would be looked upon favorably by consulting firms? General tips on when and how to lateral? Biggest question marks are around securing the interview.

Note this is specifically for US offices. Thanks!
