Resume Question - Currently attending a semi-target

Hi all,

Hope everyone had a swell holiday weekend. So, I transferred from a CC and am currently attending a semi-target school. On my resume, should I list my CC GPA? Based on my search on different boards, it seems like the general consensus is not to put it on one's resume. BUT, I know the online applications instruct the applicants to list all the previous and current educational institutions. Even if I do not list the CC info on my resume, HR would know through looking at my online application. Maybe recruiters are only concerned about the attached resume initially? I dunno.

So, what do I do?

If it helps, I had 4.0 at CC and expect 3.87 from my current school by fall

I hate to hijack this thread, but say you transfer from a semi-target (top 25...georgetown..emory..vanderbilt..northwestern) to a target (columbia..dartmouth..yale) do you list the semi-target on your resume?

yes, it shows you upgraded and definitely doesn't hurt you.

Vincent Van Gogh - Everyone said to him, "You can't be a great painter, you only have one ear." And you know what he said? "I can't hear you."

I agree that you should list your community college GPA on the resume with one caveat: it is important to have a "story" for attending CC just like any other item on your resume. Especially since you're GPA hasn't dropped off much after you transferred, a good story - think self-motivator, leader, passionate, etc. - could actually help you during an interview. Just my opinion, take for what it's worth.

WesternmonkeyIf I don't list it on my resume and list on the online application, will that be a problem later?

curious about this as well ( I don't list my CC on my resume)

In the same boat- I transferred to a "semi target school" ( top 25 ) ... All I can say is that the advisors at my school keep telling us NOT to put down our CC GPA-basically it is better to erase that entire CC chapter from your CV/ Resume...., doesn't make sense to me but that's what I keep hearing at my school in job sessions/advising sessions ect....

then you don't even put that on the online application?
