You could possibly parlay it into a an IB position w/a HC focused IB or group.
Agreed. You should make friends in the Corporate Development department starting day one. Once you're able to change roles, fight into Corp Dev. Then an IB or Research job would be well within reach. Want a research exit? Start the CFA torture. Want an IBD? Network and cross your fingers.
