Seeking quick descriptions of what work is like in various industries of MBB consulting

Does anyone have experience consulting in financial institutions or insurance industries? I'm trying to rank industries within MBB consulting for an internship I'll be working in the summer and was wondering if anyone had experience in these industries in particular (likes & dislikes) or notable experience with any other industries (strong likes or dislikes)? I feel like I don't know enough about the type of work done in any industry as of now to make a good decision about what I'd like to explore. Any help is appreciated!

This is a really vague, subjective question. Some people will love financial institutions work and will want to do it their whole career. Some people will hate it and actively avoid those projects. Try it and make your own judgment.

Unfortunately this is a bit too high level to answer the question meaningfully, since the type of work that you're doing and with whom you're doing it typically matters more for your experience vs the industry itself

Personally, I would suggest approaching this from a perspective of which industries you'd genuinely like to learn about and explore as potential careers or jobs, rather than generalities around the type of work
