Strategy roles outside of Consulting
I would love the work of a strategy consultant but I'm not willing to travel extensively at this point in my life. Are there any options out there? I've found some corporate strategy jobs but most are looking for people w/ 2-3 years consulting experience. Is there another option I haven't considered? Thanks!
Some strategy firms, like LEK, don't travel much.
There are also corporate strategy divisions in places like Target, Liberty Mutual, and Sears Holdings that recruit straight out of undergrad.
.
Other firms with strategy groups that hire out of undergrad include Disney + American Express.
Thanks for the responses. I will check out the corp strategy leads. Does anyone know if there is another set of corporations that hire new MBA's? Also, with the MBB or Boutique route, does the same thing apply to San Fran as with NYC in terms of less travel outside of the metro area?
Thanks!
Are you coming out of undergrad or bschool? If it's the latter, why don't you ask your school's career services about who recruits on campus?
