Strategy& Start Internship versus Salesforce Business Analyst - Sophomore Summer

Does anyone have insight on how well the 6 week Start diversity internship at Strategy& converts to a junior year/full time offer? Which role will help me most for recruiting MBB Junior year?

I am diversity, target school, 3.9 GPA

If your goal is consulting, S&. Being a diversity candidate, from a target school, with a great GPA, and with a strategy consulting internship from a well-regarded firm, it would be absolutely shocking if you didn't get an MBB interview next year

Also, S& will offer a generally comparable experience, so your internship return offer (which you'll get unless you go out of your way to botch it) would be a great backup if you don't get an MBB offer

Finally, it's also a good idea to do consulting earlier rather than later because it'll be extremely easy to switch to something else for junior year internship if you don't end up liking it

Congrats on both opps. I went through S& Start personally a few years back - not quite 100% return offer guarantee (close to), but even those that don't get return offers pretty easily get MBB for their junior year internship. If you want to switch over to in-house corporate strategy programs (i.e. Capital One), this should not be difficult in the short- or long-term. Personally, I switched over to finance but overall enjoyed my experience at the firm.

Can't speak to Salesforce.

Sounds like the format's shifted a bit. I'd try to find out if you can get on any live engagements - I was able to get on one but only after kinda pushing it through with HR. There should be plenty of work to go around lol. If it's a firm no, maybe consider Salesforce if you feel like the experience will be more valuable. Either name is a great resume boost for tech and/or consulting
