Switching from one MBB to another after Business School

I'm curious... Has anyone ever switched from one MBB firm to another or know someone who has? I'm specifically curious if anyone worked as a BA/A/AC at McK/BCG/Bain pre-MBA, went to business school and then started at a different one after. Would be curious about other switching stories that don't involve b-school as an intermediary as well.

I imagine this is a pretty rare scenario since most people are loyal to their employers, there aren't many significant reasons to switch, and the sponsorship package makes it pretty financially disadvantageous to switch.

However, I'm in a situation where I'm going to business school and because of the scholarship I got, sponsorship isn't really a relevant factor to me. I'm mostly leaning towards leaving consulting altogether, but I'm curious to kick the tires on the my former employer's 2 competitors.

Curious to know how such a switch would be perceived and if anyone's done it successfully.
