Thoughts on Protiviti compared to Big4 and other similar tiered firms?

I’ve recently been offered a spot at Protiviti as a Risk and Compliance consultant intern for next summer. They recently tacked on a pay raise and signing bonus, but I’m still wary about getting strong experience due to the department I have been put in and brand name.

I think I have the credentials to make it into a Big4 but do not want to forego an offer here and end up not getting anything else.

Any experience with Protiviti or non-tier 1/2 recruiting is appreciated.
