Using T2 internship and applying to MBB?

Hey everyone,

I've secured an internship at a T2 (ATK/LEK) but secretely I'm a bit of a prestige whore. I think I'd like to consider MBB at least, but I am not sure if it would be severely frowned upon to do an internship at this T2 and try to interview at MBB after. Would this be ok, or would I come across as a huge dick?

Totally fine, very common actually.

And it's not just prestige-whoring to want to make the move from T2 internship to MBB full time. There are legitimate step change differences in things like type of work and exit ops, so perfectly rational on your part.

That's awesome to hear; I don't think I'd be unhappy at a T2 but I'm so driven (I seriously am doing case interviews in my head when I'm on the bathroom/brushing my teeth) that I think I would be happier being around similarly driven people.
