Veteran Transfer Student School Selection for Consulting

Hello, I am a veteran student seeking some guidance. I recently got accepted to Amherst College, and Columbia GS. My hope is to go into management consulting then go into VC. I prefer the smaller class size of Amherst College and the tight-knit community.  However, Columbia has the Ivy league name and the NYC location. Wondering if there are other pros and cons you guys point out that I might be missing. Thank you for the help!

I know there’s been a lot of threads on Columbia GS, but have you touched base with other vets to confirm what recruiting looks like from the school? Anecdotally I know of a couple guys from GS who ended up in banking / markets so seems fine (unless they were the outliers). I’d just confirm whether they feel like all opportunities are open to GS students. If so, that would be my choice
