What Are Good Performance-Driven Jobs?

hey guys,

i'm looking into consulting as a career but i'm interested in exploring other options as well. from my job this summer i learned that i get a lot more motivated, work harder, and enjoy my job a lot more when i have financial incentives to do so. for example, i'd rather have 40k salary with 10k-60k merit-based bonus than a guaranteed 75k. however, you usually see the second kind in consulting.

do you guys know any good jobs with good pay-for-performance? some ones that came to mind were finance (not interested in finance though), sales, and starting a company (will probably do this at some point in the future but want to gain industry experience first). if you do, what are good companies to look at?

thanks!

Sales of any type will probably be the purest pay-for-performance job you'll find, especially at lower levels.

There have been many great comebacks throughout history. Jesus was dead but then came back as an all-powerful God-Zombie.

Trading.... about as performance driven as it gets, at least in comparison to the other jobs mentioned.

Consulting is pretty much the antithesis of getting paid based on some objective performance.
