What do consultants do during extended holiday/bench time?
With the holidays and clients not needing consultants on the ground, what are some of the things you do to stay sharp, informed, relaxed, not stressed, etc?
Just take it easy and enjoy the free time while it lasts. I try to read more (news, industry-specific blogs, research reports, academic papers etc) to keep my brain active during the downtime.
This. Besides reading the news and reading more in general, I enjoy the free time... Also try to catch up on random errands that are very hard to do when you're staff (like going to the DMV, etc.), see more of my friends, and go to the gym more.
