What to buy and how to prepare for NYC MBB job out of undergrad

My parents haven't worked in professional jobs before so I'm not sure how to prepare. I'm starting at an MBB in August (it's my first in person job and I didn't intern). Things I'm wondering: 1. What do women wear to work (what items should I invest in now, what bags do people use, what do I wear to my first day) 2. Where do consultants out of undergrad tend to live? I want friends to be accessible next year 3. What can I do to best prepare? I have a lot of free time at the moment and am quite bored so would love to make sure I feel prepared going in
