Where To Start? Any Advice?

Hey all, I recently switched my career focus from IB to Management Consulting but have next to no knowledge of the industry or how to get started in it. For reference, I'm a Fall 2026 graduate (undergrad) at a top-10 consulting university on the West Coast. I'm currently working on putting together a list of on-campus consulting clubs that I will apply to when applications open this Fall, but I don't really have an idea of what other steps to take.

For IB the structure is super clear of what you need to study and do to land internships and then land return offers, but with consulting, I haven't found an overwhelming amount of advice. For a complete beginner looking to break into the industry, what's some advice that some of you who've already been through the process and landed internships/FT offers can give me to get my foot in the door (i.e basic technicals to start studying or forums to read about, etc.)

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
