Women in Consulting Events

Hi Monkeys, I don't know if it just seems so to me,but there are a lot of women events being done by the MBBs. So my question is how many women do really apply to MBB at all if they are so desperate to get more? After browsing Linkedin the number of women don't seem to be that low! There's also some memes about them being the only woman on a team. I know it's just a meme,but does this actually happen? I'm a woman working in logistics ( currently the only one) and would like to understand the athmosphere at the MBBS or other consultancies regarding this. I'm thinking about applying to these events ( gotta take every chance you get!) PS: I'm not looking for the usual diversity comments or if these events are good or bad. Just want to hear your experiences and the actual situation :) Thanks !
