Any sides of Finance deal with intellectual / human topics?

I am currently very early in my career in a FP&A/Strategy aligned role (a little over 1 YoE). I enjoy my job and the challenge of building models and getting into the weeds. However, more than anything I love the small parts of the job that give me high-level exposure to our enterprise and the markets as a whole.

Since a younger age I have always gravitated more towards intellectual topics, human behavior, and looking at things at a higher level. This last year I have had a bit of a resurgence in this interest and have renewed my enjoyment in trying to learn very abstract topics in science, art, and anthropology. I thought Strategy would align me to similar concepts (that are finance specific of course), but perhaps being a junior in the industry doesn't give me this kind of exposure.

Is there anything more niche that could help me find what I'm looking for? Is looking at Strategy or high-level FP&A the wrong direction to go in if I seek out these kinds of topics? I hope to hear from some of you tenured folks who can give me a better outlook on this kind of thing. Apologies if I'm being a tad vague, would be happy to follow up if more details are needed. Appreciate all responses, thanks!
