Anyone have any opinions on the Walmart Strategy and Finance MBA internship

Corporate Strategy and finance is my back-up if I can't get into consulting, but I'm having trouble finding salary information and internship opinions on a lot of the corp 500 roles.

From what I've heard, it's a top-tier internship that recruits primarily from HBS, Booth, Kellogg, MIT, and Duke.

You also get tons of leadership exposure at a Fortune 1 company, which should translate well into consulting recruiting. On the downside I hear Bentonville is a miserable place and that Walmart is a really cheap company.

Any idea of the pay?

It's Wal-Mart man, they're notorious for doing everything on the cheap. Exit ops are pretty damn good. I'd really advise going for the type of company you want to end up at though. Just in case nobody has said it, if you're interested in a particular sector (Aero/Def, Fin Services, O&G, etc), aim for those companies now.

Just thought I would update this forum. My friend received an offer from walmart for this program (I think it's also called "E3"). 105k base with bonus around 20-25k, and I believe she said signing was 15k. There was also something about stock, but i don't recall details.

Her deal was full time though, not internship (obviously).
