I have an exploding offer at a BB for an operational risk internship this summer. I am unsure whether I should take it; I am a junior at an Ivy with a STEM degree and a competitive GPA. Would a position like this be useful for getting into a FLDP at an F500 post graduation? Thanks for the help.

Yes. I'm in a F500 FLDP right now and can tell you that a good GPA, coupled with a great school and a name-brand firm on your resume basically guarantees that you get an interview from any F500 FLDP's. Most people in your shoes who are interested in finance typically go to IB or PE (if they're lucky). If your goal is an FLDP, getting a finance internship at a name brand firm is your best route.
