Computer Science graduate wanting to break into Corp Dev/Strat

I'm a 26 year old software engineer who wants to pursue a top 5 MBA. I currently work for a well known top tech company. Are there any ways I could break into corp dev or strat post-MBA?

Also, what is the typical career ladder and salary progression for corp dev and strat? Is the work-life balance decent?
