More important (IMO) than the value of the GE program is the fact that you would be missing a week of an internship. That's a lot in an 8-12 week summer.
Agreed. Wouldn't do this if you're interning at a good company and you want a return offer.
What exactly is this? Usually most freshman programs are all over the internet (Deloitte, BBs etc.) but this one isn't.

I mean its your freshman year, it allows you to add another few lines and shows that other companies are interested in you does it not? I am sure thats better than a weeks worth of interning.
