Evaluating a Corporate Strategy/Development Offer
Recently received an offer for a hybrid corporate strategy/corporate development sr. analyst role for a publicly traded company. The description of the work sounds enticing as well as the high level of visibility. However one thing that's got me worried is the company's recent stock performance (-50% YoY). Their industry is in a downturn due to steel prices and a myriad of other factors, was just wondering how much this should weigh on my decision?
Secondly, if anyone has made the jump from consulting to industry do you regret it? Currently have several interviews going on with consulting/RX firms that could pay anywhere from 1.5x to 2.5x total comp of the corporate role. I highly value the work/life balance of the corporate role compared to consulting, just don't want to cut my career trajectory/earning potential off short by jumping to industry after only a couple years work experience.
What’s the CD offer for compensation versus consulting / RX?
If by RX you mean Alvarez and Marsal or AlixPartners?
Not sure how consulting is paying 2x more at the analyst level
