FLDP Summer Internship Programs
Hello,
I am a sophomore in college and I recently received an offer from a F100 company for a summer FLDP internship. I am aware that FLDPs are typically full-time roles given to graduating seniors, but this program is evidently different because it's only for the summer, and I'll be interviewed at the end for the full-time FLDP upon graduation. I have not seen many programs similar to this one, so I was wondering how this internship would look to future employers if I pursue corporate finance? How would it look to people in IB? Is this sort of internship common and should I find other positions to supplement it? I'm just hoping to get a better perspective on where I'm at right now in terms of career development and how FLDPs fit into different careers in finance. Any help/advice is very much appreciated- thanks everyone!
F100 internship is very good for sophomore internship. I had several classmates that used a F100 corporate finance internship as a springboard to IB internships. Several others that took return offers and enter FT FLDP's. This is what I did personally. For IB recruiting an IB internship is usually best if you can get one but the brand name should really help with reaching out to people and for making resume stand out. Congratulations on your offer. It is an accomplishment and let no one tell you otherwise.
Thanks for your input- I appreciate it!
