Is there any value in getting an MBA if going from PE -> Corporate Development?

I'm a PE associate looking at transitioning out of the industry in the next couple of years or so and am looking at corporate development opportunities. Is there a difference in advancement, base pay etc. if I were to go directly from PE to industry rather than go to business school (assume M7) in between?

For starters, you'd probably come in as an FA or Senior FA rather than a Senior FA or Manager since you don't really have management experience. Nothing else I can think of, but I'm probably not the one to ask tbh
