I don’t know about you, but I get “$50 added to your account for your next 10 rides” or similar notifications from Lyft quite often… but never use them because the word “uber” has become almost as synonymous with calling a ride as “google” is with search.
Although, that might change soon as the app is now testing a new service partnership with Taco Bell
The companies have announced "Taco Mode," an option for Lyft app users. Taco Bell says Lyft users who select Taco Mode get a custom menu, a taco-themed car and a free taco when they make their "ride-thru" stop at a nearby Taco Bell. The fast food chain and Lyft are set to test the feature in Orange County, California, during the next two weekends. The companies expect to expand the service into other markets later this year and roll it out nationwide in 2018.
So Monkeys, would this extra service make you take the extra second to close Uber and open Lyft? Or do you already use the app as compared to its morally-questionable counterpart? If so why and what do you think of it?
Why would going through a shitty mexican food place (if you can call it mexican and food) make me more eager to use Lyft. This is only a marketing gimmick to create a top of mind presence...I can't believe they would think there would be a high demand for it.
