I think if we are talking strict averages, most people max out at senior analyst. If we filter down on the people who are competent, I think the average would move up to manager.. add a few more factors like driven, confident, high-ish IQ, high EQ, good communicator, looks the part, gets broad experience.. that population probably averages at the director level. I think VP and above is more about luck and politics, but truthfully I don't really know.
