Tax Credit Investments

I have an opportunity to join a tax credit investment group with a larger commercial bank. The group is small, highly specialized, and works with low income housing tax credits, historic tax credits, and renewable energy tax credits. I’d come on as an asset manager doing almost everything from origination to underwriting to closing to managing the project. My question lies with exit opportunities. I’m relatively early in my career and I’d like to eventually move to a role as a relationship manager with our corporate finance/leverage lending group. I’ve have a few years of experience underwriting middle market credits and syndications but there are no opportunities with this group for further advancement in the near future. What should I do?
