What is Corp Dev/strategy at a Big 4 accounting firm like?

Hi all, in the final stage of recruitment into a corporate development and strategy role at a Big 4 accounting firm and currently have no idea what the job is like compared to other corp dev roles in industry. Is there a larger and more active focus on internal M&A? What would the exit opportunities be like and is it worth pursuing as I am very early on in my career? (Been working for less than a year currently)
