What salary to expect for Financial Analyst III promotion in FP&A (MCOL, Banking Industry)

I currently make $64k as a FA2 doing FP&A for a med-large bank. I have 1.5 YOE at my current company & 2 YOE total. I'm slated for a promotion to FA3 and am wondering what amount I should expect internally vs. how much I could get if I leave.

A former co-worker left our team early in the year and has changed jobs twice...both to FA2 positions. One was FP&A at a small consulting company for $74k and then to a bulge bracket investment bank doing Corp Fin for $76k.

What should I expect for my upcoming promotion? Is it okay to negotiate, and if so for how much? I expect high $70's but I feel like $80k is warranted....these are probably highly unlikely for an internal promotion.
