What's the best way to break into Corp Dev / Strategy from IB @ BB?

Hi everyone. I'm currently a 1st year at a BB in the tech group. I've always been interested in breaking into the strategy/corp dev space preferably at a company Series B-D. What's the best way to do this? Are there HHs that are particularly good at this?

How did you guys prepare for cases / technicals?

Would appreciate any advice!

Not sure if a series B company will have much corp dev team?

For these types of businesses, you need to speak to HH teams that cover corporates (usually not the same that cover IB or PE), but would also tey my luck reaching out directly to people

Identify the type or company you’re interested in, Use linkedin, cold email, say you’re interested in the industry and have a few good questions for people.

If you speak to someone in strategy / corp dev, be open that you want to do a move ultimately, and ask them how they did it or what they would advise / where to look. Then try to stay in touch light touch - it could pay off at a random point in time.
