Commercial Credit Analyst to Investment Management Role (Fixed income)?
Like the title says, I am a credit analyst in the commercial bank of one of the bulge bracket banks. I am interested in moving into a more investment focused role, but I'm worried that I am boxed out of any opportunities due to not having a high finance background. I am interested in opportunities within fixed income, private credit, etc at places like PIMCO. Is that too ambitious for my background (Tech sales, commercial banking, non target school)?
