Debt Advisory lateral/exit

I will work in a debt advisory boutique and was wondering what the natural moves are after doing a stint in debt advisory. Naturally I imagine going to bigger shops is natural, but what about other debt teams such as LevFin? And is it common to go from debt advisory to private credit/debt funds?

Debt advisory from known MM bank to MM private credit entirely possible early on in career. Can also go from small debt advisory to bigger then to PC. I would still imagine folks will talk to you if you have experience working on deals with the kind of lenders you want to exit to. Ultimately, also comes down to the types of deals, exposure to modeling, terms sheets, credit docs, and overall level of experience you're getting.
