Fidelity International - New Direct Lending Fund
Hi,
I am currently a A2 at a mezz/DL fund and got introduced to Fidelity. Apparently, they set up a new private credit business 2 years ago (I think) and just launched their first DL fund and made the first deal in Europe (Netherlands).
Does anyone have any further information regarding this gig (especially for London/Europe)?
Heard they overhired like crazy and aren’t getting any deals done, not sure how much $$ they have to deploy… could be struggling with fundraising
Heard that the fund is approx. ~1bn $ but not sure..
Growing team with ~2b currently. US based only at the current moment. Small team sub 30 total. MM focus primarily 1st lien.
What's comp like?
Would also like to know the comp or comp at comparable firms. Thank you!
FYI they shut down the PC strategy.
They closed this business line in May-24, no? Didn’t work out, not a massive surprise tbh
