Is it possible: top BB IB structured fin -> MF PC/special sit?

Based in London, but would also love stats on US/other regions

Junior at a structured finance group doing infra/energy at top BB, wondering if this is possible and what would I need to prep to move?

Have considered moving to levfin or lateral to coverage, would this help at all?

Thanks

Just wish a knowledgeable person will actually answer, instead of just seeing endless bumps

Private credit sure, special situations would probably be tough because you have little understanding of capital structures and equity value in a restructuring process. That and SS can cover more than just Rx but deep value focused plays.

Private credit seems pretty doable, know of a guy who does a lot of speciality finance corporate PC deals and can do opportunistic structured finance opportunities as well when they arise
