Mesirow Private Credit (CT)

Hi all,

Currently in the interview process with Mesirow's PC arm (they recently acquired Bastion) for an AN1 role in their Stamford office. Have internship experiences in M&A and PC and this seems like an interesting opportunity to start my career. Would anyone be familiar with the team in terms of the deal flow, culture, etc.?

Based on the most helpful WSO content, there isn't specific information available about Mesirow's Private Credit team or their Stamford office in terms of deal flow, culture, or team dynamics. However, if you're interviewing for an Analyst 1 role, it would be beneficial to prepare by focusing on private credit fundamentals, deal structuring, and credit analysis skills. Additionally, researching their recent acquisition of Bastion and understanding how it integrates into their private credit strategy could be a strong talking point during your interview.

If you're looking for insights on private credit interviews in general, WSO threads suggest being ready for discussions on credit theses, deal experience, and modeling exercises with a focus on credit stats rather than traditional PE metrics like IRR or MOIC. It might also help to ask about the team's culture and deal flow during your interview to get a clearer picture.
