Partners Group - Liquid Loans

Anyone have insight into Partners Group Liquid Loans team?

Apparently, it is part of their Private Debt team and they also do sponsor-led financing, but would be curious to know how they differ from their Private Debt team?

I know they do partly public credit investing where they buy bonds in the secondary market but would be interesting to know more about culture, comp, reputation, and career progression.

It’s syndicated loans team is primarily a CLO manager in the US. There is a bit more opportunistic in Europe but still limited.

Thank you for this.

How much of a CLO manager are they really? Their website states: "you will be covering primary and secondary LBO Debt investments". This seems more like private credit or? Do you have any datapoints on their reputation and potential exits?

What do you think CLO managers do that’s different from primarily investing in primary and secondary LBO debt? By definition private credit isn’t supposed to be liquid.

The team really hasn’t had exits which means it’s a pretty good seat.
