Private Credit vs Corporate Development Hours and Salary Progression

How do the hours change as you become more senior in private credit and corporate development?

Also, what does the salary progression look like too?

Do you feel one is superior to the other as far as work-life balance or comp?

Can you go into private credit then to corporate development? Can you go into corporate development then to private credit? Assuming you already have IB experience prior to these moves of course too. I ask because I want to know if I can try both experiences after IB or if one can pigeonhole me.
